Compensation and Footwear Guidelines
The compensation criteria for all GotSneakers’ sneaker recycling partners is based on specific quality, style, and brand guidelines. At GotSneakers’ sole discretion, each pair will be professionally evaluated by GotSneakers’ trained staff to determine its eligibility and compensation amount. The “Footwear Categories & Compensation Rates” section below describes each qualifying and non-qualifying category in detail. Please carefully review this section to ensure proper compensation expectations.
It is important to ensure your sneakers are paired together within the same bag in order to qualify for compensation. All pairs not shipped together in the same bag will be categorized as non-paired and will not be eligible for payment.
All footwear will only be compensated if it is shipped within GotSneakers’ provided collection bags. GotSneakers will not accept any footwear shipped in other types of packaging supplies including but not limited to boxes of any kind.
We kindly ask our partners not to send any non-athletic footwear including but not limited to dress shoes, heels, rain boots, sandals, slip-ons, water socks, wedges, and work boots of any kind.
Footwear Categories & Compensation Rates
Condition: New and Like New. "Shopworn" soles are acceptable but sneaker does not have any other signs of use. Sneakers missing insoles and or laces will be categorized as FAIR regardless of the condition of the sneaker.
Style: Athletic Sneakers: Running, Basketball, Gym & Training, Cleats (rubber only), Lifestyle & Casual (specific brands only), Hiking (specific brands only)
Sizes: All footwear is required to measure equal to or greater than 4.5 inches from heel to toe to qualify for compensation.
Brands: Adidas, Allbirds, Altra, APL, Asics, Brooks, Columbia, Converse All-Stars, Fila, Hoka One One, Jordan, Keen, Merrell, Mizuno, New Balance, Nike, On, Puma, Reebok, Salomon, SAS, Saucony, Skechers, Timberland, Under Armour, Vans
Condition: Gently used. Showing minor signs of use but integrity of sneaker is fully intact (no holes, rips, tears, separated soles, etc). All signs of use can be uplifted with basic cleaning and restoration. Sneakers missing insoles and or laces will be categorized as FAIR regardless of the condition of the sneaker.
Style: Athletic Sneakers: Running, Basketball, Gym & Training, Cleats (rubber only), Lifestyle & Casual (specific brands only), Hiking (specific brands only)
Sizes: All footwear is required to measure equal to or greater than 4.5 inches from heel to toe to qualify for compensation.

Condition: Moderate to heavily worn but can still be reused. Showing noticeable signs of use such as dirt, stains, and general use but integrity of sneaker is still intact (no holes, rips, tears, separated soles, etc).
Other Conditions: Fair category also includes Non-Branded sneakers that are NOT included in the Excellent and Good qualifying brands list and sneakers with defects such as MISSING INSOLES and/or LACES.
Style: Athletic Sneakers: Running, Basketball, Gym & Training, Cleats (rubber only), Lifestyle & Casual (specific brands only), Hiking (specific brands only)
Sizes: All footwear is required to measure equal to or greater than 4.5 inches from heel to toe to qualify for compensation.
Brands: All brands not included in the Excellent and Good qualifying brands list.
Condition: Heavily used and beyond reuse. Significant signs of wear including minor and/or major holes, rips, tears, stains, sole separation, and more.
Style: Athletic Sneakers: Running, Basketball, Gym & Training, Cleats (rubber only), Lifestyle & Casual (specific brands only), Hiking (specific brands only)
Sizes: All footwear is required to measure equal to or greater than 4.5 inches from heel to toe to qualify for compensation.
Brands: All Brands
Condition: All non-athletic footwear regardless of condition.
Style: All non-athletic footwear including but not limited to boots, dress shoes, heels, sandals, slippers, rain boots, water socks, wedges, work boots, and more.
